Project Overview

The Ford Motors Interactive Kiosk is a digital experience designed to showcase the brand's evolution, from historical milestones to future innovations. The objective was to create a high-performance, touch-friendly interface that feels premium and responsive.

Developed for an exhibit setting, the kiosk uses a scrapbook-inspired aesthetic to tell the story of automotive history through three primary lenses: The Beginning, The Icons, and The Future.

The Approach

The approach was centered around designing for guided interaction and controlled user flow, similar to real-world kiosk systems where users are led step-by-step rather than freely browsing.

The design direction focused on segmented user flow breaking content into clear sections to avoid cognitive overload, strong visual hierarchy ensuring key actions remain immediately readable, motion-led interaction design using animation to guide attention, and consistency in UI structure across all screens for predictability and ease of use.

Execution

The final product was built as a fully interactive web-based kiosk using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with GSAP powering all motion and transitions. Key components included a structured multi-screen interface, GSAP timelines to orchestrate entry animations, interactive elements simulating touch-based kiosk behavior, and smooth screen-to-screen transitions to maintain immersion and flow.
