This project is a motion graphic commercial created for a conceptual travel campaign by Durham Travels,
promoting the experience of visiting Las Vegas. The goal was to capture the city's high-energy atmosphere
and translate it into a fast-paced, visually engaging advertisement.
The commercial blends dynamic typography, vibrant visuals, and rhythmic editing to reflect the iconic
identity of Las Vegas — bright lights, nightlife, and nonstop entertainment. Designed as a short-form
promotional piece, the video focuses on delivering impact within seconds.
The creative direction was built around the core idea of energy and attraction — positioning Las Vegas not
just as a destination, but as an experience that pulls you in.
The approach focused on visual intensity using bold colors, sharp contrasts, and glowing elements inspired
by neon signage and nightlife culture. Pacing and rhythm aligned motion, transitions, and cuts with the
music to create a sense of momentum, while typography was treated as a moving visual element that reinforces
the message at every cut.
The final video was developed through a combination of motion design principles, compositing, and timing precision using Adobe After Effects — allowing for layered compositions and smooth, impactful transitions.
This project deepened my ability to use motion as a persuasive tool. Building a commercial around a specific destination forced me to think about brand voice, pacing, and how to make a viewer feel something in under 60 seconds — a discipline that directly shapes how I approach all motion work.
